I am about to purchase a better graphics card and i was wondering if this card would work for my computer.|||Yes, that will work. Since the Pavilion a250n has an AGP video slot, you need an AGP video card. The X1650 is an older card but a pretty good performer for $55.

The best AGP card money can buy is the ATI Radeon 3850, but it's more expensive and requires at least a 400W power supply.
