Mid-point computer video cards?

ok my computer is about one and a half years old now, and it uses an integrated video chipset, Intel GMA-900. The problem is that the card is apparantly so low-ended that it wont even play COD1 (let alone BF2142).

so my question is, which one of these cards would be the best for gaming and driver support?

Zotac GeForce 210 512MB GDDR2

ATI Radeon HD 4350 512MB GDDR2

ATI Radeon HD 4550 512MB GDDR3

ATI Radeon HD 5450 512MB GDDR2

EVGA GeForce 210 512MB DDR2

XFX Radeon HD 4650 1GB GDDR2

Zotac GeForce GT220 1GB DDR2

XFX GeForce 9500GT 1GB GDDR2

FYI these are the only cards available that fit below $125, so dont suggest another card, and DO NOT give me a link to a website (not a big fan of online purchasing)|||EDIT:

Completely changed my response. After reading some reviews and comparing results, it looks as if the GeForce GT 220 will offer the best performance of the cards you have listed. In the benchmarks I looked at, the GeForce 9500 had only slightly slower performance. For all purposes, they are about equal.

Second to that would be the Radeon 4650. However, I would recommend you stay as far away from XFX products as possible. They have a bad habit of dying.

As far as driver support, NVidia is very good about this. They tend to release a new ForceWare version every month or so.

As a side note, it's a pity that you don't like shopping online. There are several cards that could stomp any of those you've listed that cost less than C$125 online.

EDIT 2:

To answer your question about the Radeon 5450, it's major problem is the memory bus. It only has a 64-bit. Gaming cards these days are 256+, with the more mainstream cards being 128-bit.

Having a memory bus that narrow will really slow a card's performance down.

To put it another way, that card cannot use it's on board RAM anywhere near as efficiently as most other cards on the market today.

If you have any other questions/concerns, feel free to send me a message through Y!A. I keep odd hours, but will get you a reply as soon as I can.
