If I have but just at least 2 spair PCI slots for Video card(s), would I be able to upgrade, 256MB, to 512MB..

I wanna know if a PCI card exists for an upgrade from my ATI Radion 9250 which is a 256MB Video RAM Card...

Could I upgrade to a 512MB, or even 1GB Video PCI Card...?

Does ATI Radion Have it...?

If not how, or which manufacturer would fit my needs...?|||If you're using an ATI Radeon 9250, PCI slot style, you could upgrade to a 256MB 128bit graphics card like this one, for $90 bucks, plus tx, and shipping: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as… That's it. Top of the line for your system,(not so much this particular card, but the 256MB of ram. Your PCI slot can only pass so much information,[in this case, vid signal] That's why they came out with the AGP slot, then the PCI-Express x1 slot, then the PCI-Express x16 slot, and now PCI-Express 2.0 x16,[soon PCI-Express 3.0 x16]

You can only run one vid card, so you'll have to take the other one out. But, I gotta' say it! It's like throwing your money in the wind! As you can see about the various Expansion slots I've named above, your computer is way behind in technology. Why is this? Because Game programming takes a lot of pixel instruction, shader technology, etc., to make it more realistic. (I can't wait until PC's catch up to virtual reality. They have them out, just not for your average PC!) You need a motherboard/processor/ram upgrade! Expensive? Let me show you something:

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/…

Biostar mobo with a PCI-Express x16 slot, USB 2.0, Sata or IDE connections for your harddrive,(it's probably IDE), support for up to 4GBs of DDR2 533MHz ram. (With WinXP your system will only 'recognize' about 3.1 GB's of it. That's because it's a 32 bit OS). Comes with an Intel Core2 Duo 2.2GHz E4500 processor. $170 bucks for the mobo/cpu combo! Ram? DDR2 533MHz like this:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/… 1GB for $20 bucks,(after $10 rebate), or two of 'em, 2GB's for $40. Or you could go with this ram:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/… , or this ram: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/…

Now you've got something to put one of the PCI-Express x16 vid cards in, and it'll be fast!|||Go here---> http://www.newegg.com and search for PCI video cards. If my memory serves me correctly the PCI cards maxed out at 512mb. Also, you will gain very little with your purchase...save your cash and upgrade the motherboard.
