Would these video cards work with my computer?Would there be any problems like it would overheat and crash?

Here are the video cards:BFG - NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI Express Graphics Card and http://www.frys.com/product/5781092?site… thats the link

I'm upgrading from ATI RADEON X300 SE Video Card with 128 MB PCI Express

My computer details

Intel Pentium 4 Hyper Threading Technology,250 GB SATA HDD,1 GB DDR,Processor speed 3.40 GHz,800 MHz FSB,1 MB L2 cache

and then this Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz

Can I just use any of these without ANY problems at all?Like if i had it installed and i started playing Team Fortress 2 would there be any problems like crashing or overheating

also if there any other video cards like at best buy or fries please tell me|||yes it will work just fine but I would reccomend you get a better card then that...

8400gs is a low end card and you would be better off with an 8800gt or 9800gt.

if you really wanna stick with the 8400 then at least get an 8800gt.

to find out your specs for your power supply then download and install this small utilities program and it will tell you all specs including power supply.

http://pc-wizard-2008.en.softonic.com/

the program is called pc wizard and is very handy when it comes to upgrading.

also tells your temperatures and clock speeds etc...

cheers.

I have to agree with the others though and reccomend you have at least a 550watt power supply.|||Any PCI Express card will work in a PCI Express slot. As you already have a PCI-e card, then ya you're solid (assuming your power supply can handle it and you have sufficient cooling).|||The important thing is how powerful your computer's power supply is. You should have at least a 400-watt power supply.|||Nope another good Card is the Gigabyte GA-EP43-US3L, add a Case fan to your front housing blow in and another to the rear suck out.
