Will the Asus 8400GS Silent 512MB graphics/video card be able to support the Sims 3?

I've had the Sims 3 for a while and it worked perfectly with my built in graphics on the motherboard, but since I've had a MASSIVE system failure it keeps saying that a graphics card is not detected!
