Difference in these two ATI video cards for mac?

thinking about upgrading my mac... my current g5 has the 9800 xt. will the imac with the HD 4850 be a noticeable difference?



ATI Radeon 9800 XT with 256MB of DDR SDRAM (2005)

vs.

ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB



is the performance increase between these two cards small, medium, or large?|||the latter is 4 generations ahead aka more power

and it has a unified shader architecture aka more effiency|||It is really the 9800 GTX+ that is comparable to the HD 4850.



Performance difference would be significant at high resolution. 256MB graphics memory would bottleneck the 9800XT (and most other cards) at high resolution.|||the 4850 is much much faster than the 9800xt. karz, i have no idea why the hell you're talking about 9800gtx+, the 9800xt is an old ati card from years ago, nothing to do with nvidia's 9 series.
