Are video cards and audio cards compatible with both aT or aTX?

im trying to build a computer from scratch, so far these are the ones i am thinking about using:

-Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz 6MB

*-PNY Verto GeForce 8500GT 512MB Video Card

*-eVGA e-GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI-Express Graphics Card .. either one

-Abit AB9 Pro LGA775 Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Support Motherboard

-AN45 Antec Sonata III Quiet ATX Case w/ 500W & eSATA

-still figuring out what kind of hardrive im going to use, and i decided to get windows xp on it..

imma use this cpu as a multimedia computer, no hardcore gamer here, lol, but i like to watch videos online, my cpu been slowing down on me lately, help please!!!!

|||E8500 is too much more expensive for the marginal speed uptick. E7200, and overclock when and if you need the extra boost. Q6600's probably a better pick than a dual core for a multimedia machine, actually. 2.4GHZ, but it overclocks really well.

8400gs is fine for someone who doesn't play games much. Going up to an 8500GT won't help you decode H264 any faster.

Look at the cheap Gigabyte P35 boards. They're real good.

Western Digital 6400aaks. It uses two platters of 320GB each for blazing transfer speeds and low noise/heat.85$ at Newegg.

Case sounds okay. If you want to buy PSU and case seperate, checlk out CoolerMaster Centurion plus this PC Power and Cooling

Also, why are you talking about AT? I haven't seen a system with an AT power supply or motherboard for sale in about a decade! Everything's ATX, and unless you find a PCI or maybe AGP 1-2X card, it won't work on an AT motherboard.
