Thinking of getting the Mega Special IV on CyberPowerPc.com I can get system with this card for under $1k Ive always bought Dell. 4 desktops and just ordered a laptop. Was going to get the XPS 630 or 730 for my son who loves to play games like wow and has warhammer but current computer wont do right on that. Was suggested to go to this site to buy custom build and it all looks good. Warranty/free shipping. But just want to make sure on this video card. Thanks|||That card is very solid. It's not the top of the line...but it's close. It has a very good price to performance ratio. Check out these links that rate and compare nVidia and Radeon ATi cards. It's clear that they are very positive on the performance of that card for it's price.

EDIT: That card will easily play WoW and Warhammer and then some. I would NOT think twice about purchasing that card because of the price to performance ratio.|||It's an average card but nothing special in today's world. I would contact the Company you are considering and tell them what you want to do with the computer and add a little for the future. If they truly custom build they will know what you need.|||That video card is great. I have one myself. It would cost you $1500+ to get a Dell PC with a card as good as this one. It will not only max out those games with 50+ frames per second, but will also run any other game on the market at max.
Don't listen to the first answer. You should definitely get that PC. And only buy laptops from Dell. Their Desktops are ripoffs.|||From range of piece of nothing, extreme bad, bad, below average, average, above average. nice, extremely nice, excellent, I would rate it nice/extremely nice.

Can I install a new video card in my laptop?
I have a Sony Vaio PCG-K37 with an ATI Radeon IGP 345M with 64 MB of shared video memory and would prefer a new video card of at least 512MB; is this possible?|||No

Are these video cards compatible with my PC?
I want to upgrade the video card for my Dell Dimension E521:
http://www.dell.com/us/en/dfh/desktops/d…
It has expansion slots
PCI: 2 Slots
PCIe x1: 1 Slot
PCIe x16 (Graphics): 1 Slots
And a 305 Watt DC power supply.
Here are the video cards:
XFX Radeon HD 5570 650MHZ 1GB 1.0GHZ DDR2 HDMI DVI VGA PCI-E Video Card:

Powercolor Radeon HD 5570 650MHZ 512MB 1.6GHZ DDR3 DVI HDMI VGA PCI-E DIRECTX11 Video Card:
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=52258&vpn=…
Which one is compatible with my PC? If they both are, which one would give me the highest graphic quality? (I would like to be able to play Starcraft II smoothly)
Thanks in advance!|||http://ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=4…
this one would be waaay better, but whichever you pick, they all seem to require a min of 400w power supply so keep that in mind otherwise the card will run hot and slow and may burn up.|||Will you be able to play starcraft 2 smoothly?
No
Are these cards compatible with my pc?
Probably. You're power supply is twice as small as it should be|||Suggested ATI Radeon™ HD 5570 and 5550 512MB DDR3 System Requirements
400 Watt or greater power supply recommended

" Dell Inpirion 531s " >>>I am upgrading Video Cards and am not sure which power supply to upgrade to. I know?
I want a 450w power supply, but am unsure where and what to look for , for this model of computer. It is a slim line series desktop. I would also like to keep the price low, for which times are tuff and I am on a budget. I am installing an GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 450Mhz PCI-E 2.0 Video Card. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.|||Dell's tend to use proprietary power supplies, it could be very hard to find an upgrade PSU that will fit.
Best hope is that your existing PSU will be able to cope.

How can I update my video card, kid of Geforce 8400 (512mb)?
I've bought a video card but I don't know how to update the latest version of this card (because I don't know much about the system of videocard). In the CD case's seen: GeForce 8400 series 12DC1-0384GS-12R version 1.2 thanks so much!|||you want to upgrade the driver? go to nvidia website and go to downloads, there they will have the latest drivers there.|||NVIDIA provides updated drivers on their website (http://www.nvidia.com). Alternatively, you can go to the video card manufacturer website (NVIDIA designs the chips, vendors implement them on their own cards). Most manufacturers wrap the NVIDIA driver in a custom video display software application, but you can use either that or the driver direct from NVIDIA.|||put the graphics card in your pcie slot and download latest nvidia driver from www.nvidia.com site for your operating system,or insert the cd and install the given driver

What is the rating scale for radeon video cards?
What would the geforce equivalant to this radeon card:
MSI RX1550-TD256EH Radeon X1550 Support up to 512MB (256MB onboard) 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card - Retail|||X1550 is an old card, not quite equal to a Geforce 6600GT.
X1950 = Geforce 7950GT
X2600XT = Geforce 8600GT
3870 = almost equivalent to 8800GT
4850 = better than 9800GT
4870 = in-between the 260 and 280|||More than likely it would be the Nvidia 8500gt
either way i would cry if i had one :-p|||toms hardware has a comparison between nVidia and ATI and their equivalents...
